Riga Airport turns over EUR 40.5 ml in January-September
The airport’s turnover rose by 6.7%, or EUR 2.5 million, against the
respective period in 2016.
According to the report, Riga Airport closed the first nine months of 2017
with a EUR 1.9 million profit.
During the accounting period, the airport generated EUR 23.5 million worth
of revenues from aviation services. Compared to the same period a year ago,
these revenues grew by EUR 1.6 million. The bulk of these revenues were
generated from ground handling services, as well as security and storage
services.
Revenues from non-aviation services, like land lease, grew by 6%
year-on-year to EUR 17 million.
Riga International Airport is the largest air traffic hub in the Baltic
states. The airport offers flights to more than 60 destinations in the winter
season and to nearly 90 destinations in summer, operated by 20 airlines.
