Overall passenger traffic in Lithuania up 0.4% in 9 months

The overall passenger traffic in Lithuania increased by 0.4% in the first three quarters of 2017 from a year ago to 285.164 million, informs LETA/BNS, according to estimates released by the country's statistics office on Tuesday.
Road passenger traffic grew by 0.4% to 279.145 million, with the number of
passengers carried by buses and coaches up by 1.3% to 216.231 million and that
of passengers carried by trolleybuses down by 2.5% to 62.915 million.
Rail passenger traffic decreased by 0.3% to 3.351 million.
The number of passengers carried by inland waterways rose by 4.7% to 1.735
million, but the number of those carried by marine transport fell by 4% to
271,800 passengers.
Lithuanian air carriers posted a 10.4% increase in passenger traffic to
661,500 passengers.
