Food Union invests EUR 70,000 in expanding product range of Karums brand

Of the total investment of EUR 70,000, EUR 50,000 were spent on special
equipment for making of cheesecakes.
"We wanted to please those, who have a sweet tooth, by giving them
something new and very convenient to eat, especially considering that,
regardless of the fast-paced life, Latvians show increasing preference for
exquisite deserts," said Ieva

Union.
Karums cheesecakes are made of light cream cheese and egg yolks and their
crisp foundation is made of crushed whole-grain butter cookies. Cheesecakes are
available with two types of frosting - raspberry or summer berries.
Food Union Group said its total turnover in 2016 amounted to EUR 247 million.
