Latvenergo named Latvia's most valuable company for the 10th time

Print versionJoint-stock power utility Latvenergo has been named Latvia's most valuable company for the tenth time, writes LETA, according to Prudentia and Nasdaq Riga's annual ranking of Latvia's most valuable companies.

This year, Latvenergo's value is
estimated at EUR 1.747 billion, or 34% more than in 2016.
The state-owned forest management company Latvijas Valsts Mezi, which was ranked as third most valuable
company in Latvia last year, is in second place this year, while Mikrotikls is
third - up from eighth place last year.
Railroad company Latvijas Dzelzcels
is ranked fourth, Swedbank is fifth (down from second place last year), while Lattelecom is in sixth place.
Prudentia CEO Karlis Krastins points out that this
year, Latvenergo has become the most
valuable power utility in all three Baltic countries.
Most companies in the ranking this year represent the finance sector,
manufacturing industry, as well as transport, transit and logistics sector.
