Nights spent by tourists at Latvia's hotels up 12.2% in January-August

The number of nights spent by guests at Latvia’s hotels and other tourist facilities in the first eight months of this year grew by 12.2% against the same period last year to 3.524 million, writes LETA, according to the data released by the Central Statistics Bureau (CSB).
The number of nights spent by foreign guests in Latvia's hotels and other
tourist facilities in the first eight months of 2017 rose by 11.4% year-on-year
to 2.406 million in January-August.
In January-August this year, the Latvian hotels and other tourist
facilities received 1.819 million guests, up 11.2% against the same period in
2016 when they saw the number of guests grow 11.8% to 1.246 million.
In 2016, the Latvian hotels and tourist facilities received 2.304 million
guests, up 7.7% from 2015, while the number of nights spent by guests in
Latvia's hotels and other tourist facilities rose 7.5% to 4.417 million.
