SEB grants EUR 95 mln loan to Lithuania's Girteka

Girteka Logistics, a transport and logistics company of Girteka, one of Lithuania's biggest logistics groups, has borrowed 95 million euros from SEB bank after announcement of plans to purchase 2,000 Volvo trucks, Verslo Zinios business daily said, informs LETA/BNS.
The bank said that the leasing deal set a new record and was the biggest
this year. Kristian Kaas Mortensen,
communications chief at Girteka Logistics,
emphasized that the SEB loan was not
the only source of money for expansion and renovation of the company's current
transport fleet, as Girteka also
cooperated with other institutions.
Purchase of 2,000 new Volvo trucks will could have cost the Girteka group about 180 million euros.
In early 2016, Girteka Logistics
announced the purchase of 1,000 new Mercedes-Benz.
