Merko, RKAS sign contract for building schoolhouse for EUR 5.1 mln

AS Merko Infra, a subsidiary of the listed Estonian construction group AS Merko Ehitus, and the state real estate management company RKAS entered into a contract on Monday for the construction of Viimsi State Gymnasium near Tallinn for 5.1 million euros, informs LETA/BNS.
The total cost of the works is around 5.1 million euros, exclusive of VAT.
Construction works are to start in October and end in the fall of 2018, the
company told the stock exchange.
The design and construction of a gymnasium building for 540 students is
aimed at creating a low energy consumption building.
The planned school is a three-story building. The main building material is
wood, which is used both in supporting structures and as a finishing material.
