RTU project Drone Plan wins Start Jerusalem 2017 competition

Drone Plan, a business project of Riga Technical University’s (RTU) Design Factory, has won the Start Jerusalem 2017 start-up competition, organizers of the competition informed LETA.
Drone Plan is an unmanned aircraft meant for surveying objects that are
hard to access.
The winner of the competition has been awarded with a free trip to Israel
in November and participation in an innovation program for start-ups.
A professional jury of experts had shortlisted Drone Plan along with four
other finalists in the competition, including Recolo, a technology converting
organic waste into biogas, Zeew, an on-demand delivery application, Catalyco, a
product catalyst enhancing stability and activity, as well as NormadicScooter,
a foldable 3-wheel electric scooter.
The competition was organized by the Latvian Start-up Association and the
Israeli Embassy in Riga.
