Daugavpils Lokomotivju Remonta Rupnica turnover jumped by 79.3% in H1

Daugavpils Lokomotivju Remonta Rupnica locomotive repair group achieved EUR 11.06 million in turnover in January-June 2017, which is 79.3% more than in the first half of 2016, while the group's losses decreased by 7.2% to EUR 1.353 million, reports LETA, according to the company's financial report submitted to Nasdaq Riga stock exchange.

The company's management report says that the losses were due to
fluctuating orders in the first quarter and delays with spare part supplies in
the second, as well as fluctuations in the Russian ruble exchange rate.
At the moment, the company is working at full capacity, the report says.
It also points out that the group's exports went to eight countries in the
first six months of the year, and exports amounted to EUR 10.1 million - up
from EUR 4.5 million in the first half of 2016.
The largest Daugavpils Lokomotivju
Remonta Rupnica shareholders are Estonian company Skinest Rail with 47.97%
of shares and Estonian company Spacecom, part of the Russian Severstaltrans
group, with 25.27%.
