Balticovo plans to launch exports to Hong Kong, Vietnam and Taiwan

Toms Auskaps, Chief Commercial Officer of Balticovo,
said the company had begun exports to Kazakhstan this year and was actively
developing exports to Dubai, expanding its customer base there.
Balticovo is also working
actively to enter the markets in Hong Kong, Vietnam and Taiwan. It is planned
to export to those markets frozen egg products with high value added, such as
scrambled eggs, that can be transported over long distances.
Auskaps said it was hard to say when exactly Balticovo would start exports to the said countries because
entering a new market takes quite a while. For example, four years were needed
in case of Dubai.
Balticovo is exporting its
products also to the Central Asia where it competes with such major egg
suppliers as India, Brazil and Ukraine.
In 2016, Balticovo generated EUR
44.589 million in turnover, down 2.9% from 2015, and its profit shrank two
times to EUR 2.713 million.
The largest shareholder in Balticovo
is BCO company with 95.42%.
