Euroaptieka and Euroaptieka Farmacija post higher turnover, profit for 2016

Euroaptieka and Euroaptieka Farmacija, two companies that run the chain of Euroaptieka drugstores in Latvia, both achieved higher turnover and profit last year, writes LETA, according to Firmas.lv data.

Euroaptieka posted EUR 39.874 million in turnover, 10.2% up on 2015, and EUR 2.056 million in profit (10.8% increase). On the other hand, Euroaptieka Farmacija turned over EUR 41.273 million (8.5% up from 2015) and earned EUR 2.999 million in profit (10% increase).

 

The two companies' management points out that the main task this year will be to optimize internal procedures and keep turnover growth on a par with market. If circumstances are right, new drugstores could be opened, and some of the existing ones could be reconstructed.

 

Euroaptieka was founded in 2001, its share capital is EUR 229,796, while Euroaptieka Farmacija was registered in 2011, and the company's share capital is EUR 54,740.

 

The Euroaptieka brand belongs to company Euroapotheca, which operates over 400 drugstores in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, and Ukraine. Euroapotheca belongs to Vilniaus Prekyba, a holding company that belongs to the owner of Maxima retail chain.
