Airdog has raised USD 250,000 (EUR 213,000) on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform for the development of a new drone, ADII, informs LETA, according to information posted on Kickstarter website.

As of Thursday morning, Airdog had raised USD 258,994 (EUR 220,000) on Kickstarter. The campaign will close tomorrow, August 11.

The earliest backers could order the new drone for USD 999 (EUR 875), and they will be shipped the drones right after the campaign ends.

As reported, in early 2015 the high-performance, auto-follow camera drone Airdog was named the winner of best robot/drone title and placed second in Best of CES 2015 Awards overall poll at the world's largest technology and innovations fair CES 2015.

This allowed the company to win recognition and attract investments worth USD 2 million (EUR 1.8 million) from such companies as IT-Farm Corporation, Base Ventures, FlyCap, Imprimatur Capital.

Airdog drone is developed by Latvian Airdog company that fully belongs to the U.S.-registered Airdog Inc. Last year the company posted EUR 1.657 million in turnover and EUR 2.083 million in losses.
