First time registration of cars grew by 11.1% in January-July in Latvia
The transport vehicles registered for the first time in Latvia in the first
seven months of this year also include 4,886 trucks, down 1.4% against the same
period a year ago, 207 buses, up 39.9%, as well as 1,985 motorcycles and
trikes, up 9.8%.
The list of vehicles registered for the first time in January-July 2017
also include 1,325 scooters, up 12.7%, 125 quadbikes, down 18.3%, and 3,947
trailers and semitrailers, up 10.5%.
In all, 52,197 transport vehicles were registered in the first seven months
of 2017, which was a 9.7% increase against the same period in 2016.
In 2016, registration of passenger cars dropped 4.9% year-on-year to 60.625
vehicles.
CSDD is a state-owned company registering motor vehicles in Latvia, issuing
drivers' licenses and conducting road worthiness examinations of vehicles.
