Bite Latvija posts higher turnover, profit in 2016

Mobile phone operator Bite Latvija posted EUR 78.917 million in turnover in 2016, 17.4% increase on 2015, while the company's profit rose 39.7%, amounting to EUR 7.345 million, reports LETA, according to Firmas.lv.
Bite management report
says that last year the company continued investing in network infrastructure
and technology development, including in network expansion.
In total, there are 176 4G base stations and eighty 4G+ base stations in Bite network. Data transmission speed in
the network increased 20% last year.
Bite's plans for this
year and beyond include consolidating the company's positions in corporate
segment and development of digital products - mobile payments, banking
solutions, Internet of things.
In 2015, Bite's turnover amounted
to EUR 67.258 million and profit to EUR 5.258 million.
Bite Latvija's share capital is EUR 99.085 million, the company belongs to Lithuania's Bite Lietuva.
