Estonian ice cream producer Premia doubles profit in 2016
"We increased ice cream sales by 14.6% on the Estonian market which
helped us earn a decent revenue of 48.3 million euros in spite of a
considerable raise in the price of raw material," CEO of Premia Aivar Aus said in a press release. He added that the company has
also benefited from being part of an international group by being able to make
its production and deliveries more effective.
According to Aus, great sales results in Estonia and the synergy from the
Food Union group are the main reasons behind the considerable profit growth.
"It can be seen from the data of AC Nielsen that Premia's
market share exceeded the 40% threshold for the first time in several years,
reaching 41.2% in May," Aus said.
Premia Tallinna Kulmhoone AS is part of the Food Union group as of 2014.
