Viking Line carries 30% more passengers between Estonian and Finnish capitals in June

The Finnish shipper Viking Line said on Wednesday that passenger numbers for June increased by as much as 30% year over year on its Tallinn routes.

Viking Line is responding to the heightened demand by raising the number of daily services between Helsinki and Tallinn to up to 12 with the addition of M/S Mariella and M/S Gabriella, which will operate on this route during the summer period from July 1 to Aug. 6, Viking Line said in a press release.


Customers are particularly interested in route services and travelling with their car between Finland and Estonia. The popularity of day cruises between Helsinki and Tallinn is also on the rise, it said.
