Sakret construction materials maker increases production capacity in Estonia

BC, Tallinn, 19.06.2017.Print version
Sakret Holdings construction materials producer has increased the production capacity of its Estonian enterprise Sakret OU, hiring additional workers and switching to a two-shift work schedule, LETA was told at the company.

The two-shift work schedule enables Sakret OU to meet growing demand for its products and ensure flexibility in producing and adjusting new materials. During the first five months of this year, Sakret OU increased the sale of its products by 13 percent against the same period a year ago.

"The market in Estonia is growing, the overall market growth for 2017 is projected at 8%. Meanwhile, Sakret has already increased its Estonian sales by 13% against last year, which means that demand for Sakret products has been growing faster than the market in general. We have therefore switched to work in two shifts, which allows Sakret to respond to demand on the market quickly and be flexible to clients' specific needs, for instance, by developing a product adjusted to the client's needs," said Kaspars Pacevics, the head of Estonia's Sakret OU.

Sakret OU, the Estonian branch of Latvia's Sakret Holding, was established in 2005. The company's Estonian plant was launched in 2007. Its initial capacity was 150,000 tons of construction materials a year. Sakret OU makes industrial ready-mixed dry mortar.

Sakret Holdings, the largest producer of ready-mixed dry mortar in the Baltics, is a 100% Latvian-owned company and it operates plants in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

In 2015, Latvia's Sakret generated EUR 8.213 mln in turnover and made a EUR 244,797 profit, according to information from Firmas.lv.
