Vilkyskiu Pienine's 2017 revenue boosted by dairy prices and sales

Vilkyskiu Pienine, one of Lithuania's largest dairy companies, had its 2017 revenue driven by a slight increase in sales and growing prices, the company's CEO Gintaras Bertasius says LETA/BNS.
"There was a higher level of prices. This is the main
reason, when it comes to the revenue. We also sold somewhat more products.
These are the two main reasons why we posted higher revenue," Bertasius
told.
In the first five months of 2017, Vilkyskiu Pienine's revenue soared by 56% to 45.9 mln euros. The company said that its sales went up by 33% y-o-y to 9.6 mln euros in May alone
.
Bertasius owns 51% of shares in Vilkyskiu Pienine, with a 17-% stake held by Orion Asset Management.
Shares of the dairy company, which is based in Vilkyskiai,
in western Lithuania, are quoted on the blue-chip Main List of the Nasdaq
Vilnius stock exchange.
