Prezi presentation platform buys Latvia’s Infogr.am
Infogr.am co-founder Alise
Semjonova told LETA that the price of the deal is not disclosed. She said
that as a result of the deal all Infogr.am employees are now shareholders in
Prezi.
"Legally we are one company – Prezi, but products and brands are not changed yet, therefore the
users will not feel any difference. At present we are still looking for the
best way of cooperation," she said.
Meanwhile, Peter
Arvai, the co-founder and head of
Prezi, said that this is the first such deal for his company. "Prezi was interested in the merger with Infogr.am as we have a common goal – to
help customers make balanced decisions, offering them more efficient visual
communication tools," he said.
Speaking about further operations, the company
representatives said that Infogr.am
will become a subsidiary of Prezi with
its home base in Latvia. Prezi will
continue investing in Inforgr.am
research and development and will establish a Center of Excellence for Data
Visualization in Latvia.
Infogr.am was
founded in 2012 by Uldis Leiterts,
Raimonds Kaze and Semjonova. Infogr.am
is a data visualization company that helps people create charts, infographics,
maps and reports.
So far Infogr.am
belonged to US-registered Infogram
Software Inc. In 2014 the company posted EUR 416,007 in sales, and
sustained loss worth EUR 683,062.
Prezi was

world. The company has offices in San Francisco, Budapest and Mexico.
