Westaqua Manufacturing triples its profit

Print versionhe profit of Estonian producer of water filters Westaqua Manufacturing OU, a subsidiary of the U.S. and Russian-owned Aquaphor group, last year grew from 877,000 euros to 2.6 mln euros, while the company's sales revenue increased from 26.7 mln euros to 33.6 mln euros, reports LETA/BNS.

The sales revenue of manufactured products in 2016 amounted to 22.6 mln euros, which is 27.8% more than in 2015. Westaqua Manufacturing is developing fast and needs large capital investments, which is why the whole profit has been directed towards the company's further development, the company said in its annual report.
In 2015 Westaqua Manufacturing OU was bought by the Israeli company Winter Engineering Ltd., which deals with designing and producing water filtering systems and supplying the industry for different projects by method of reverse osmosis.
Last year Westaqua Manufacturing employed 287 people and paid them a total of 5.2 mln euros in wages.
