Webhelp outsourcing company to open office in Riga

BC, Riga, 09.05.2017.Print version
rench-based business process outsourcing company Webhelp will open an office in Riga, the Latvian Investments and Development Agency reported.

One of the reasons for opening an office in Riga is the broad language skills of Latvian residents, especially fluent Russian language skills. This will allow Webhelp to expand its business geography to the Russian-speaking markets, while still being located in the EU, the company representatives said.

"It is great news that we are able to expand our business into the Russian speaking market with the addition of this new site in Latvia. We already have one very high profile new client that we will service from this site and I’m sure many more will follow," said Olivier Duha, co-founder of Webhelp.

Webhelp has already secured a high profile new client to occupy the site and recruitment for more than 200 Russian speaking technical advisors and management positions is beginning now.

Terje Andreassen, CEO of Webhelp Nordic, who will be responsible for the Latvian business, said that initially the company will be recruiting over 200 people, but the company anticipates strong growth for this business and therefore hopes to recruit additional people in the future. We are excited by the prospects of our business in Latvia.

Webhelp is a business process outsourcing company specializing in customer service and payment management, as well as sales and marketing services using voice, social and digital channels. The company operates in 35 countries and employs 35,000 people.
