Exports by Latvian drug wholesalers in March grow 40% m-o-m

Print versionLatvian-registered medicines worth EUR 11.28 mln were sold outside Latvia in March this year which is a growth by 40% from February, according to the information that drug wholesalers have submitted to the Latvian State Agency of Medicines informed LETA.

In March 2017, Latvian drug wholesalers sold 528 various
Latvian-registered medicines (including 224 government-funded medicines).
Latvian sales of local drug wholesalers in March this year
totaled EUR 38.75 mln, which is a 19% rise from February 2017 and a 15% growth
from March 2016.
Medicines sold to general drugstores this March totaled 3.74
mln packages worth EUR 30.07 mln.
The average price charged by drug wholesalers for a package
of medicines was EUR 9.33 (VAT included) in March 2017.
The State Agency of Medicines said the above statistics did
not include medicines sold by one drug wholesaler to another wholesaler.
