BC, Riga, 26.04.2017.Print version
The Latvian airline airBaltic has been recognized as one of the most punctual airlines in the world and has received five stars in the OTP Star Ratings system by OAG, the airline informed BC.

airBaltic achieved a punctuality rating of 90.54 percent, which was only behind Safair Airlines (95.9%) and Jazeera Airways (93.23%).

Martin Sedlacky, Chief Operations Officer of airBaltic: “I am proud that airBaltic is on top of the global on- time performance ranking in the past three consecutive years. Considering short transfer times at our Riga home base and harsh tough winters, this highlights our operational excellence. I look forward to confirm this also in 2017 after the smooth introduction of our new Bombardier CS300 fleet.”

According to OAG’s OTP Star Ratings system, airBaltic achieved a punctuality rating of 90.54%, which means that more than nine airBaltic aircraft out of 10 arrived on-time.

OAG tracks carrier performance based on flight records from around the world and announces its OTP Star Ratings twice a year – in April and October. In 2015 and 2014, OAG analysts ranked airBaltic as the world’s most punctual airline. airBaltic still maintains the leadership positions among the world’s most punctual airlines.
