The company will offer in the Latvian market services in postal, cargo shipment and economic deliveries within the country and to any foreign destinations. Also, the company will offer postal and cargo shipments to Latvia from other countries. In a three year perspective, the company plans to earn more than EUR 7 mln in profit.

"The Baltic market is strategically important for us. We highly appreciate Latvia’s transit potential, but we also see a demand for complex, high quality logistics services for adequate prices. We are ready to offer a broad range of services," said Pony Express general director in Latvia Aleksandrs Kovalevskis, adding that the company plans to create at least 20 new jobs in Latvia.

The company’s advantage in the new market will be delivery time and prices. In three years the operator plans to win at least 5% of the Baltic express delivery market.

Another direction for Pony Express in Latvia will be logistics of warehouses. The company already is offering warehouse and cargo processing services and delivery services to Latvian internet stores. Cargo transportation business will be expanded in the coming year.

Pony Express has a transit logistics center in Riga for processing cargos from Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, the Middle and Central Asia and Caucasian countries to Europe, Asia and the US. Every year more than 75,000 will be shipped through the terminal.

In 2018 the company plans to open representations also in Vilnius and Tallinn.
