The Estonian Ministry of Finance has launched a second call for proposals in the framework of the Estonia-Latvia program to distribute five million euros to projects focusing on natural and cultural heritage-based tourism, sustainable lifestyle, joint water economy and cross-border labor relations, reports LETA/BNS.

"We're looking forward to all ideas and projects that will improve the living environment of the people residing in border territories," Minister of Public Administration Mihhail Korb said, adding that all applicants from West and South Estonia as well as the Kurzeme, Pieriga, Riga and Vidzeme regions of Latvia will be welcome.

The deadline for submitting proposals is May 12, 2017.

The maximum duration of a project is three years and each project must involve at least one Estonian and one Latvian partner. The minimum rate of own financing for Estonian and Latvian beneficiaries is 15 percent.
