airBaltic boasts 17% growth of passengers in February
During the first two months of 2017,
airBaltic transported a total of 363,847 passengers.
In February this year the airline operated 3,030 flights, or
by 12% more than in the same period last year when airBaltic operated
2,715 flights. During the first two months of 2017 the airline operated 6,493
flights.
The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of
passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, was 66% in
February 2017 and 64% in January-February 2917.
The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic reached 89.2% in February
2017. This means that more than 89 of every 100 airBaltic flights in February departed at the planned time or
with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
This summer, airBalltic
will add 12 new routes to its network to such cities as Madrid, Geneva,
Aberdeen, Tampere, Stavanger, Gothenburg, Kazan, Catania and Liepaja.
In 2016 airBaltic carried
2,891,365 passengers, which is a 10% growth from 2015. Last
year airBaltic operated 43,872 flights or by 2% more than in 2015.
The passenger load factor grew to 74% or by 3 percentage points compared to a year
earlier.
