Latvian beer production rises 33.77% in January

Print versionn January this year, beer production in Latvia rose 33.77% from the same period of the previous year to 6.363 mln liters, the Excise Goods Administration of the State Revenue Service reported LETA.

Beer imports in January increased 28.92% from the respective period in 2016 to 5.298 mln liters.
Altogether 8.846 mln liters of beer were released for consumption in Latvia in the first month of this year, a 12.51% rise from the same period in 2016.
In the first month of 2017 Latvia exported 1.318 mln liters of beer, an 119.28% rise from January 2016, when Latvian beer exports came to 601,150 liters.
A total of 73.95 mln liters of beer were produced in Latvia in 2016, which was a 13.66% reduction from 2015.
In 2016, Latvian beer imports increased 10.66% from 2015 to 86.93 mln liters.
