Lithuania's ESO to pay EUR 51.8 mln in dividend

Lithuania's electricity and natural gas distribution company Energijos Skirstymo Operatorius (Energy Distribution Operator, or ESO) intends to pay 51.786 million euros in dividend, or 0.0579 euros per share, for the second quarter of 2016.

The company said in a message to the Nasdaq Vilnius stock exchange that the company's shareholders would decide on the dividend on the general meeting of shareholders on March 24.


For the first quarter of 2016, ESO had already paid 12.525 mln euros in dividend. Should the shareholders decide on the dividend for the second quarter, ESO would be paying nearly 64.29 mln euros in dividend for the first half of last year.


In 2016, the company netted 92.502 mln euros in profit, up by 7.7% from 2015, while the revenue climbed 2.2% to 645.545 mln euros.


ESO shares are quoted on the blue-chip Main List of the Nasdaq Vilnius stock exchange.
