The state-owned Estonian airline Nordica carried in partnership with LOT Polish Airlines 33,900 passengers in January, 77% more than in the same month last year.

The noteworthy growth is first and foremost due to the fact that Nordica's credibility has improved significantly over the year, CEO Jaan Tamm said. "According to statistics, we can these days regard one of five passengers as a loyal customer who has flown Nordica more than four times," he observed.

By passenger numbers, Munich and Stockholm were the most popular destinations in the first month of the year. Besides business travelers, Munich is for many people a suitable destination for a ski vacation in the Alps in the winter period, Tamm said.

Nordica performed 816 regular flights during the month, to which flights operated for partners outside Estonia were added. According to data of the Tallinn airport, Nordica's market share at the airport was the largest among carriers at 22% .

At the travel fair Tourest taking place in Tallinn this weekend Nordica is offering advantageous flights to Chicago, New York, Toronto and Los Angeles in partnership with LOT Polish Airlines. Tamm said the airline also continues work to develop direct flights, for example, a new route connecting Tallinn with Hamburg is on the cards.
