Lithuania's Ellex and Sorainen among leaders in Central and Eastern Europe by deals

Print versionSorainen and Ellex groups uniting law offices in Lithuania last year ranked among leading law offices in Central and Eastern Europe in terms of the number of acquisition and merger they mediated.

According to tables provided by M&A research agency Mergermarket, the Ellex group mediated in 23 deals estimated at 653 mln US dollars in 2016, climbing to the 6th place last year from the 25th place in 2015.
Meanwhile, Sorainen went up seven places to the 8th position after finalizing 20 deals worth 262 mln US dollars last year.
Great Britain's law office White & Case last year topped the list with 36 deals worth nearly 27 bln US dollars, followed by CMS, Dentons, Allen & Overy and Baker & McKenzie.
