Latvia’s national carrier airBaltic to launch flights from Riga to Madrid in May 2017

Latvian national airline airBaltic will launch a new route between Riga and Madrid on May 26, 2017, BC learned from the airline.

"The first of our all-new CS300 aircraft has already joined the airBaltic fleet. We are happy to add Riga-Madrid to airBaltic route map and deploy the new aircraft. The new route between the Latvian and Spanish capitals will offer new opportunities for both business and leisure travelers," said Wolfgang Reuss, SVP of Network Management of airBaltic.


airBaltic will fly from Riga to Madrid three times weekly. airBaltic will operate a mix of Boeing 737 and the new Bombardier CS300 aircraft on the route. The flight is scheduled to last four hours five minutes.


airBaltic serves over 60 destinations from its home base in Riga. In addition, airBaltic also offers direct flights from Tallinn and Vilnius.
