Investors placed EUR 97.8 mln in Estonian startups in 2015

Print version– Investors placed 97.8 million euros in startups of Estonian origin during 2015, almost half of which went to the money transfer service Transferwise, writes LETA according to Eesti Paevaleht.

By way of comparison, the amount of money placed by
investors in Estonian startups in 2010 was a modest 18.5 mln euros.
Startups of Estonian origin raised 21.37 mln euros in Series
A financing round, 14.68 mln euros in Series B financing round and 53.21 mln
euros in Series C financing round last year.
The sum total raised by Transferwise was 48 mln euros.
