ABB to open shared services center in Estonian capital

The global technology group ABB is about to open a regional business service center in Ulemiste City, Tallinn on Oct. 11, reports LETA/BNS.

The shared services center is part of ABB Group's new global business service network that will support transforming the company into a more customer centered, faster and effective business, ABB said.


It has been reported that the regional services center is to create several hundred new jobs.

The center will provide services to business units of ABB Group all over the world.

ABB's Estonian headquarters are located in the small town of Juri just south of Tallinn.


Operations of ABB's Estonian unit are focused on the manufacture and sale of energy technology, including wind and diesel generators, frequency changers and renewable energy equipment. The unit that employed 1,056 people on average last year posted sales of 155 million euros in 2015.
