Baltic Export, Foodstuff, Forum, Good for Business, Latvia, Markets and Companies

Various events will be held in Beijing throughout September to introduce the Chinese public to modern Latvia, offering them to taste and buy Latvian-made food products, take part in creative workshops and to watch performances by Latvian artists and athletes.

Taste Latvia events are intended to raise Latvia's profile in order to promote the sales of those Latvian products that are already being distributed in the Chinese market, as well as to expand bilateral exchange.

Economics Minister Arvils Aseradens, who is scheduled to open the days of Latvia in China, is taking with him a business delegation, which includes representatives of 20 leading companies involved in food production, transportation and logistics, provision of consulting and financial services, design and textile business, music and other spheres.

The Latvian entrepreneurs will be taking part in various events and meetings in China's cities to establish and build contacts with potential business and trade partners.

The program for the Latvian business delegation is organized by the Latvian Investment and Development Agency in collaboration with the Latvian Embassy in Beijing and the agency's partner organizations in China.

From September 8-15, the Latvian Investment and Development Agency is organizing a mission of timber industry companies to China. Participants of the mission, which is expected to represent more than 15 Latvian wood processing companies, will attend China Global Wood Trade Conference and visit China Wood Expo.
