Mars Lithuania's FY net profit drops 17% to EUR 8 mln

Lithuania's confectionery and pet food manufacturer Mars Lietuva, which is part of the international food industry giant Mars, last year saw its net profit drop to 7.937 mln euros, down 16.7% from 9.532 mln euros in 2014, reports LETA/BNS

Sales revenue increased by 1.5% to 136.048 mln euros, the company said in its 2015 annual report filed with the Center of Registers.


Sales of own products edged up by 0.5% to 122.4 mln euros and sales of imported Mars products rose by 15.4% to 12.1 mln euros.


Mars Lietuva's factory in Gargzdai, in western Lithuania, last year produced 65,000 tons of products, down 8% y-o-y. The company sold its products to 23 EU countries, as well as Switzerland, Norway, Turkey and Ukraine.
