Baltic clothes retailer Apranga's H1 sales rise 7%; Latvian sales up 4.8%

Apranga, the Baltics' leading clothing retailer, said on Friday that its first-half sales rose by 7.2 year-on-year to EUR 94.3 mln, reports LETA/BNS.
The chain's retail sales in Lithuania increased by 4.6% to EUR 55.8 mln. Sales in Latvia went up by 4.8% to EUR 22.8 mln and sales in Estonia jumped 22.1% to EUR 15.7 mln.
Apranga currently owns a chain of 178 stores in the Baltic countries. Their total area amounts to 81,100 square meters, up by 5.5% compared with a year earlier. The group opened 11 new stores, refurbished two stores and closed another two stores during the first half.
The group this year is targeting a 7.65% increase in revenue to EUR 214 mln, including VAT, and is planning to open or refurbish 11 to 17 stores.
