Rimi Lithuania improves financial results thanks to new store openings

Rimi Lietuva, one of Lithuania's biggest grocery chains, in 2015 improved its performance results thanks to new store openings and plans to continue its expansion in 2016, reports LETA/BNS.

Rimi Lietuva last year opened six new stores in Vilnius, Klaipeda and Kaunas, bringing the total number of Rimi stores in Lithuania to 52 at the end of the year, according to its 2015 annual report filed with the Center of Registers.

 

This year, the company plans to refurbish existing stores and open eight new stores, it said.

 

Rimi Lietuva's net profit last year surged to 7.307 million euros, from 953,100 euros in 2014. Annual revenue increased by 15.7% to 288.324 million euros.

 

The company is 100 percent owned by Sweden's Rimi Baltic.
