Estonian manufacturer of module homes Harmet boosts revenue by 42% in 2015
The increase in revenue was achieved mainly as a result of long-term cooperation agreements with strong contracting parties, which enabled to better plan manufacturing operations and increase efficiency, the company said in the annual report.
Harmet's export to Sweden more than doubled last year to approximately 40 million euros. The next biggest export market was Finland, where Harmet sold module homes worth 9.3 million euros. Sales on the domestic market amounted to 1.5 million euros.
Investments last year were made mainly in upgrades of equipment, acquisition of means of transport and computers.
Harmet employed on the average 328 people in 2015, 40 more than in 2014. Wage costs totaled 5.4 million euros.
Harmet has plants at Saue and in the territory of the Harku rural municipality near Tallinn, as well as in Parnu in southwestern Estonia.
