Klaipedos Mesine setting up retail chain in Georgia

Klaipedos Mesine, a Lithuanian meat processing company, is setting up a chain of small retail stores LitMarket in Georgia to sell Lithuanian products, reported LETA/BNS, referring to Verslo Zinios.

Lietuvos Namai, a company operated by Klaipedos Mesine, opened two stores in the capital Tbilisi, with the number of stores expected to grow to 10 in 2016 and to 50 in 2017, becoming the third-largest chain in the country.

 

Klaipedos Mesine's investments in the project total 100,000 euros.

 

Tomas Valauskas, Klaipedos Mesine's project manager, said the company would first attempt to export products to new markets together with a few other Lithuanian producers.
