Latvian drugstore chains increase sales of medicines by 11.8% in 2015

In 2015, the turnover of medicines sold at Latvia's drugstores rose by 11.77% from a year before to EUR 328.54 (VAT excluded), informs LETA, according to information released by the State Agency of Medicines.

Sales of medicines to individual buyers grew 11% and sales of medicines to legal entities surged 28%.

 

The market share of general drugstores also expanded in 2015 as the percentage of medicines sold by the general drugstore chains grew to 75% last year from 68% in 2014.

 

The State Agency of Medicines processed drug sales data for 2015 reported by 779 general drug stores operating in Latvia.
