Lidl to open its logistics center in Lithuania in mid-April

BC, Vilnius, 12.02.2016.Print version
Lidl's launch date in Lithuania has become clearer after the German discount supermarket chain informed the Kaunas district authorities that its 42,000-square meter logistics center in Ramuciai will open in mid-April 2016, the business daily Verslo Zinios reported on Friday, informs LETA/BNS.

Given that it will take time to supply all of Lidl's stores, it is thought in the market that the stores may open for business in June.

The Kaunas district and city authorities are currently working to set up a special bus route between the city and the village of Ramuciai, the paper wrote.
