Net revenue of the retail organization of Estonian consumer associations Coop Eesti Keskuhistu (Coop Estonian Central Association), formerly known as ETK Grupp, in 2015 increased by 5% on year to 487.8 million euros, reports LETA/BNS.

According to CEO Jaanus Vihand, market share of the retailer increased to 20.6% by the end of the year.

"Our revenue increased 1.5 times faster last year than the general revenue increase of the Estonian food and staples' retail market. We plan on retaining the leader position also in the future. We will continue investing in establishing new stores and updating the stores we have, and in the fall we will open a new, modern logistics center," Vihand was quoted by spokespeople as saying.

Coop Estonia consists of a central association and 19 regional consumer associations which in turn have close to 83,000 customer-owners. It owns 355 stores most of which belong to the AjaO, Konsum, Maksimarket, E-Ehituskeskus and Tooriistamarket chains.

In 2015, nearly 60 million purchases were made at Coop Estonia stores.
