Turnover of retail trade and catering enterprises in Lithuania rose by 19.2% in December

Statistics Lithuania informs that, based on provisional data, in December 2015, the turnover (VAT excluded) of retail trade enterprises* amounted to EUR 869.0 million; against November, it increased by 19.2% at constant prices (seasonally and working day adjusted – by 0.3%).

Over the month, the turnover of enterprises trading in food products increased by 25.9%, in non-food products – by 21.8, of those engaged in retail trade in automotive fuels – by 0.5% at constant prices.

 

In December 2015, against December 2014, the turnover (VAT excluded) of retail trade enterprises increased by 4.2% at constant prices (working day adjusted – by 4.1%). The turnover of enterprises trading in food products increased by 3.7, of those trading in non-food products – by 4.7, of those engaged in retail trade in automotive fuels – by 4% at constant prices.

 

In December 2015, the turnover (VAT excluded) of food and beverage service enterprises amounted to EUR 45.3 million and, against November, increased by 10.9% at constant prices (seasonally and working day adjusted – decreased by 1.5%). Compared to December 2014, the turnover of enterprises engaged in the said activities grew by 5.4% at constant prices (working day adjusted – by 4.6%).
