Lithuania's advertising market grew by 5% in January-October

Lithuania's advertising market expanded by 5% in the ten months through October 2015 from a year ago, with the strongest growth recorded in outdoor video and cinema advertising and more moderate growth in TV and radio advertising volumes, reports LETA/BNS, according to the latest survey released by TNS LT.

"The advertisers that increased their spending on advertising in Jaunty through October the most were the Lithuanian Road Administration and the small consumer credit companies Nordecum and Minibank," Giedre Juroniene, head of advertising monitoring at the market and media research company, said in a press release on Wednesday.

 

"International advertisers cut their adverting spending: Beiersdorf by one-third, Henkel by 32% and Mondelez International by 29%," she said.

 

Advertising on television rose by 6.6% and radio advertising volumes were up by 3.8%.

 

Print advertising volumes declined by 6.7%, with advertising space in newspapers down by 8.7% and that in magazines down by 3.2%.

 

The average daily outdoor static advertising space widened by 5.9% and advertising on outdoor video screens soared by 40%. Indoor TV advertising increased by 4.9%.

 

Spending on online banner advertising fell by 8.1%, while cinema advertising surged by 37.8%.
