Klaipedos Nafta resumes reloading of vacuum gasoil from Belarus
“We had to put in place the entire technological chain – from rail tanks to the tanker, and to get our reservoirs ready. The company’s experts performed that task in optimal time, which provided us with an advantage in the market,” Klaipedos Nafta CEO, Mantas Bartuska, said in a press release.
In the past, the company used to reload relatively small shipments of vacuum gasoil from Belarus. This time, the company will handle a vacuum gasoil shipment that matches the market standard and can be effectively shipped by a tanker – Klaipedos Nafta plans to reload a total of 30,000 tons in November and December.
Gasoil is exported through Klaipedos Nafta by BNK (Belarusian Oil Company). In June, the companies signed a year-and-a-half contract on the handling of heavy fuel oil at the Klaipeda terminal.
Until now, the company’s terminal has only been handling vacuum gasoil from Russia.
