Lithuania's e-communications market grows by 4.5% in Q3

Lithuania's electronic communications market revenues grew by 4.5% in the third quarter from a year ago to reach 158.3 million euros, preliminary data from the Communications Regulatory Authority (RRT) showed on Wednesday, cites LETA/BNS.

Quarter-on-quarter, the market's revenues rose by 1.5%.

 

Combined revenues of mobile communications operators increased by 3.5% in the third quarter from the previous quarter to 58.5 million euros. Fixed-line telephone operators saw their revenues drop by 2% over the quarter to 11.9 million euros.

 

Revenues from retail broadband Internet access services rose by a quarterly 2% to 29.2 million euros while revenues from paid TV services edged down by 0.5% to 15 million euros.

 

Investment in the electronic communications network infrastructure totaled 19.1 million euros in July through September, up by 13% year-on-year and up by 4% quarter-on-quarter.
