Global BOD Group, a high-tech and renewable energy holding company set up in Latvia in 2014, has won its second contract to install solar power plants in Malaysia, the business daily Verslo Zinios reported on Tuesday, cites LETA/BNS.

Lithuanian-made solar modules will generate electricity for schools and mosques.

"Last week, we finally received confirmation from the Malaysian Energy Ministry that we had won the contract. We have until Apr. 1, 2016 to install 25 solar plants with a capacity of 48 kilowatts each," Global BOD Group Chairman Vidmantas Janulevicius told the paper.

The value of the project, which is being financed by Malaysia's government, totals around 3 million euros.

Soli Tek, a subsidiary of Global BOD Group, in 2014 installed a pilot 1.2-megwatt solar power plant in the Malaysian state of Perak.
