Lithuanian air carriers' passenger numbers rise by 31.5% in January-October

Lithuania's air carriers saw their total passenger numbers rise by 31.5% in the ten months through October 2015 from a year ago to 614,200 passengers, provisional figures from Statistics Lithuania showed on Friday, cites LETA/BNS.

Passengers on non-regular flights, up 55.8% year-on-year to 555,500 passengers, accounted for 90.4% of all passengers carried in January through October.

 

In October alone, the country's airlines carried 77,400 passengers –- down by 14.3% month-on-month, but up by 30.7% year-on-year.

 

The total volume of cargo and mail handled by the country's air carriers during the ten months increased by 14.9% from a year ago to 722,600 tons.
