Estonia and Vietnam signed treaty on avoiding double taxation

Estonian Foreign Minister Marina Kaljurand and Vietnamese Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh signed at a meeting in New York an agreement for the avoidance of double taxation between the two states and discussed possibilities for intensifying bilateral relations, LETA/Delfi reports.

"There are a lot of unused possibilities in the bilateral economic relations of our countries. We hope that concluding the agreement helps to foster closer contacts between entrepreneurs of Estonia and Vietnam," said Foreign Kaljurand.

 

The foreign ministers also discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of ICT and cooperation in international organizations. Estonia and Vietnam are both candidates for the UN Security Council for the period 2020-2021.

 

Kaljuran met in New York also with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and the Foreign Minister of San Marino Pasquale Valentini. The meetings discussed bilateral relations and cooperation within the European Union.
