During the first six months of the year 2015, a state-run joint stock company Lithuania Post has earned more than half a million euros net profits according to unaudited data. Company's sales revenue reached 32.7 million euros and increased almost by 15.9% compared with the same period last year, reported BC port’s press service.

“Lithuania Post's net profits have decreased by 0.2 million euros, regarding increase in expenses, compared with last year. The main reason is ~0.8 million euros spent because of the increase in salaries of the lowest-paid profession employees.

For the past few years, the company has been steadily functioning, sales revenue continuing to grow and financial results improving, therefore, in order to remain market leaders we must invest not only into new services or technology deployment, but also in employees by motivating them and developing their skills and qualifications”, mentioned Lithuania Post general manager Lina Minderienė.

From January to June 2015, the main sales revenue was obtained from postal services that earned 18.9 million euros. Received postal services income increased by 23.4% in comparison with the same period in 2014. This increase occurred because of a rise in international postal items usage. Income that was obtained from dispatched international postal items has reached 67.7%, whereas, from received international postal items it was by 22.1% more.

During Lithuania Post and international logistics and transport company CLEVY cooperation, delivering postal items from China to European countries, the total outgoing international correspondence number has increased by 3,1 times.
